Piezo Vibration Sensor - Small Vertical

The Minisense 100 by Measurement Specialties is an affordable cantilever-style vibration sensor. Loaded with a mass, it provides high sensitivity at low frequencies. It's great for detecting vibrations and 'tap' inputs from users. When the film moves back and forth, it generates a small AC and large voltage (up to +/-90V). You can use a simple resistor to reduce the voltage to ADC levels. It can also be used for impact sensing or as a flexible switch. It comes with solder pins for vertical mounting. Using this piezo vibration sensor is easy. First, use the solder pins to mount it vertically. To detect vibrations or 'tap' inputs, just place it in the area where you want to sense the activity. If you get a large voltage output (up to +/-90V), connect a simple resistor to bring the voltage down to ADC levels.
