Product Details

ITO is a transparent and conductive liquid or film, and here it coats a 1mm glass sheet. This fascinating material is widely used in scientific research and LCD/OLED manufacturing. One side of the glass is covered with ITO. You can use a flat blade to scrape off some of the film and create 'traces'. Just be cautious as it's glass, and any scratches may cause it to break along the line, similar to how a glass cutter works. Laser cutting can also be an option for patterning. We're excited to see your creative uses for this awesome product! Note that soldering isn't possible with this material, but you can use conductive inks, paints, copper tape with conductive adhesive, and alligator clips for contact. This product is for hobbyists and experimentation, so don't use it for major startup ideas or Kickstarter projects.

How to use: You can use a flat blade to gently scrape away parts of the ITO film on one side of the glass to create 'traces'. Laser cutting can also be used to pattern the film. To make contact, use conductive inks, paints, copper tape with conductive adhesive, or alligator clips instead of soldering. Precautions: Since it's glass, be very careful when handling it. Any scratches or nick - lines can cause the glass to break along that line. Maintenance: Store the glass in a dry and clean place, away from sharp objects that could scratch the ITO film or the glass itself. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures and humidity.
