The Himax WE-I Plus EVB is an outstanding choice for computer/machine vision or AI endpoint applications. Working with Google TensorFlow Lite for Microcontrollers framework and Synopsys embARC MLI library, it offers a comprehensive development environment to run TensorFlow Lite for Microcontrollers examples like 'Person detection', 'Micro speech', and 'Magic wand' for 'Vision', 'Voice', and 'Vibration' uses. The board is equipped with a built - in WE - I Plus ASIC (HX6537 - A) and an embedded Synopsys ARC EM9D DSP running at 400MHz. It has 2MB internal SRAM and 2MB Flash, ideal for deploying larger Neuro Network models. For 'Vision' tasks, it comes with a Himax HM0360 ultra - low - power VGA mono camera, with a latency of only 40ms for the 250KB 'Person detection' example. For 'Voice' applications, there are two MEMS microphones, and the 20KB 'Micro speech' example has a latency of just 6ms. For 'Vibration' functions, a STM LSM9DS1 IMU provides 3 - axis accelerometer capabilities. The WE - I Plus has an ASIC embedded EM9D DSP Floating - Point - Unit (FPU). It also has 2 LEDs to show classification results and a built - in FTDI USB to SPI/I2C/UART bridge for programming and data output. An expansion header with I2C and GPIOs interface allows you to add external sensors or devices.
