The Motoron M1U256 Single I²C Motor Controller provides a compact way to control two DC motors via a UART serial interface. You can connect multiple Motoron controllers to the same serial bus, which makes it a breeze to expand your system with more motors. Operating from 4.5 V to 48 V, it can supply continuous output currents up to 2.2 A. This version comes with header pins, though they aren't soldered in. The M1U256 and M1T256 controllers let you easily control a single bidirectional, brushed DC motor using an I²C or TTL serial (UART) interface respectively. These 0.6″ × 0.6″ compact boards operate from 4.5 V to 48 V and can offer continuous output currents up to 2.2 A. You can configure multiple Motoron controllers to work on a single I²C or serial bus, enabling independent control of numerous motors. Unlike most motor drivers, the Motoron doesn't need any PWM outputs or timers on your microcontroller. All you need is a single I²C or UART interface, no matter how many Motorons you connect.
Using the Motoron M1U256 is straightforward. First, connect it to your power source within the 4.5 V to 48 V range. Then, use the UART serial interface to link it to your system. If you want to expand and control more motors, simply connect additional Motoron controllers to the same serial bus.
