Product Details

This super - small breakout board comes with the ADMP401 MEMs microphone. A major benefit is its bottom - ported input. This allows the microphone to sit perfectly against your project's enclosure. And you won't have to struggle with soldering the tricky footprint of the microphone. Awesome! The amplifier on the board has a gain of 67, easily meeting the mic's bandwidth needs. When there's no sound, the amplifier's AUD output floats at half of Vcc. When you hold the microphone at arm's length and speak at a normal conversational volume, it produces a peak - to - peak output of about 200mV. So, you can easily connect the AUD output to a micro's ADC. Specifications include a - 3dB roll - off at 100Hz and 15kHz, a 1.5 to 3.3VDC supply voltage, a comfortable output of 40mW, and an SNR of - 62dBA. You'll also get access to documents like schematics, Eagle Files, and datasheets. The shipping list includes one MEMS microphone sensor.

Using this MEMS microphone sensor is a breeze. First, connect it to your project's enclosure with the bottom - ported input fitting snugly. You can then link the AUD output of the amplifier to the ADC of a micro. When speaking into the microphone, hold it at arm's length for best results. As for the power supply, make sure to use a voltage between 1.5 and 3.3VDC. Be careful not to expose it to extreme temperatures or humidity. To maintain it, keep it clean and free from dust. You can use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe it down if needed. Also, refer to the provided schematics, Eagle Files, and datasheets for more detailed information.
