Product Details

Get a low - energy electronic paper (ePaper / eInk / EPD) display for your Pi! It comes in three great colour schemes: red/black/white, yellow/black/white, and black/white. The Inky pHAT features a beautiful 212x104 pixel display, perfect for showing simple graphics and clear text. It's just like paper, so it's easy to read in bright sunlight. You can use it as a cute clock, display tweets, weather, news, sports scores, and more. It's also great for graphing data from sensors, CPU load, temperature, or stock prices. As of early December 2017, it uses a new display and requires updated software. The new software can detect the display version, working with both old and new displays. If you're using the new colour display, add 'inkyphat.set_colour('red')' below 'import inkyphat' in your code. Replace'red' with 'yellow' or 'black' according to your Inky pHAT colour. It has a 2.13' EPD display, Inky pHAT pinout, and is compatible with various Raspberry Pi models. It comes with a Python library and is fully assembled. Multi - colour EPD displays use electrophoresis to show colours and are visible under bright lights. It takes about 15 seconds to refresh (less for black/white). No soldering is needed; just attach it to your Pi and run the installer. It works with any 40 - pin Pi. Our Python library makes it easy to display text and images, and we have a one - line installer. Note that our software doesn't support Raspbian Wheezy. Overall dimensions are 65x30x8.5mm, and the display usable area is 48.5x23.8mm (2.13' diagonal).

Using the Inky pHAT is a breeze. First, make sure your Pi is compatible - it works with Raspberry Pi 3B+, 3, 2, B+, A+, Zero, and Zero W. Pop the Inky pHAT onto your Pi. There's no soldering required as it's fully assembled and connected via a ribbon cable. Then, run our one - line installer for the Python library to set everything up. You can use it for all sorts of things, like making a cute clock or displaying the weather. When coding, if you have a new colour display, add 'inkyphat.set_colour('red')' below 'import inkyphat' in your code, and change'red' to 'yellow' or 'black' depending on your Inky pHAT's colour. Remember, the software doesn't support Raspbian Wheezy. The display takes about 15 seconds to refresh for multi - colour versions, but black/white ones are quicker. Keep it in a normal environment and avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures. If you want to clean it, use a soft, dry cloth. That's all you need to know to enjoy your Inky pHAT!
