Say farewell to the hassle of heat - shrink, melted jacketing, and awkward third - hand tools! Opt for these snap - on plastic cold splices for lightning - fast connections. These splices work with any 19 - 26 AWG solid core wire. Just slide the wires into the plastic splice until they reach the metal teeth. Then, use parallel - jaw or slip joint pliers to squeeze them down. Avoid needle - nose pliers as they have too much angle and not enough force. We also find our panavise useful for this task. It's a three - way butt splice. Connect two or three 19 - 26 AWG solid - core wires at once by sliding them in and squeezing. It's a simple, solder - free way to connect multiple wires. The splices have a bit of silicone jelly to prevent oxidation, making them somewhat weatherproof, though not waterproof. This pack comes with 10 pieces, so keep them handy in your drawer.

Using these cold 3 - wire splices is a breeze. First, make sure you have 19 - 26 AWG solid core wires. Slide the wires into the plastic splice until they reach the metal teeth inside. When it's time to squeeze, use parallel - jaw or slip joint pliers. Don't use needle - nose pliers because they won't provide enough force. You can also use a panavise if you have one. To connect multiple wires, just slide two or three wires in and squeeze them all at once. Remember, these splices are a bit weatherproof thanks to the silicone jelly inside, but they're not waterproof. So, don't expose them to heavy rain or submersion. Keep them in a dry place in your drawer when not in use. If you notice any signs of oxidation, it might be time to replace the splice.
