Using these cold 3 - wire splices is a breeze. First, make sure you have 19 - 26 AWG solid core wires. Slide the wires into the plastic splice until they reach the metal teeth inside. When it's time to squeeze, use parallel - jaw or slip joint pliers. Don't use needle - nose pliers because they won't provide enough force. You can also use a panavise if you have one. To connect multiple wires, just slide two or three wires in and squeeze them all at once. Remember, these splices are a bit weatherproof thanks to the silicone jelly inside, but they're not waterproof. So, don't expose them to heavy rain or submersion. Keep them in a dry place in your drawer when not in use. If you notice any signs of oxidation, it might be time to replace the splice.
