This soldering station has several remarkable features. It has excellent thermal recovery, with a 30% increase in heater output compared to conventional models like HAKKO 936/937. Using T18 series tips with high heat conductivity, it allows soldering at lower temperatures, reducing thermal impact on components and tip oxidation. It has a small footprint, taking up only 100 (W) x 120 (D) mm. The contact points with the floor are near the outer edge for better stability.
Operation is a breeze with just two central buttons (UP and ENTER), making it easy even for beginners. The digital display lets you quickly check the set temperature. Using the Hakko FX - 888D Digital Soldering Station is quite straightforward. First, plug it in and turn it on. You can use the UP and ENTER buttons in the center to set the temperature. If you have a specific temperature you use often, take advantage of the preset mode. Just select from up to 5 preset temperatures that you've registered in advance.
When soldering, make sure the soldering iron is at the right temperature. The great thermal recovery means it'll heat up quickly and stay at the set temperature. Try to solder at a lower temperature if possible to reduce damage to components and tip oxidation.
For safety, use the password function to lock the settings. This way, you won't accidentally change the temperature or other settings.
