Product Details

The Hakko FX-888D Digital Soldering Station offers great value, priced like an analog model but with digital features. It comes with an adjustment mode, preset mode, and a password function. The separable tip/heater design is a real money - saver. This soldering station has several remarkable features. It has excellent thermal recovery, with a 30% increase in heater output compared to conventional models like HAKKO 936/937. Using T18 series tips with high heat conductivity, it allows soldering at lower temperatures, reducing thermal impact on components and tip oxidation. It has a small footprint, taking up only 100 (W) x 120 (D) mm. The contact points with the floor are near the outer edge for better stability. Operation is a breeze with just two central buttons (UP and ENTER), making it easy even for beginners. The digital display lets you quickly check the set temperature. The password function locks settings to prevent accidental changes, and you can choose how to restrict settings. The preset mode is super convenient for changing temperatures according to different workpieces, components, or tip shapes, with up to 5 preset temperatures available. Specifications include a 70W power consumption, a temperature range of 50 - 480ºC, and a temperature stability of ±1ºC at idle. The station has an AC 26V output voltage, dimensions of 100(W)×120(H)×120(D)mm, and weighs 1.2kg. The soldering iron consumes 65W (26V), has a tip - to - ground resistance of <2Ω and a tip - to - ground potential of <2mV. It uses a ceramic heater, comes with a Shape - B (No.T18 - B) standard tip, has a 1.2m cord length, a total length of 217mm (with B tip), and weighs 46g (with B tip). Note: This is a genuine 240V Hakko Station.

Using the Hakko FX - 888D Digital Soldering Station is quite straightforward. First, plug it in and turn it on. You can use the UP and ENTER buttons in the center to set the temperature. If you have a specific temperature you use often, take advantage of the preset mode. Just select from up to 5 preset temperatures that you've registered in advance. When soldering, make sure the soldering iron is at the right temperature. The great thermal recovery means it'll heat up quickly and stay at the set temperature. Try to solder at a lower temperature if possible to reduce damage to components and tip oxidation. For safety, use the password function to lock the settings. This way, you won't accidentally change the temperature or other settings. Maintenance is important. After use, turn off the station and let it cool down. Keep the soldering iron clean. If the tip gets dirty, you can clean it using a proper tip cleaner. Store the station in a dry and safe place when not in use. Also, remember that this is a 240V station, so use it with the appropriate power supply.
