Product Details

Hey there! Ever heard the *HONK* *HONK* of a micro:bit coming through? Whether you've dabbled in the MicroPython speech module or dream of using MakeCode sound effects, the noise:bit is here for you. Now, your micro:bit can make all sorts of cool sounds like BLURP and BEEP! Just slide the noise:bit into the micro:bit board and start MakeCoding to your heart's content. Use the sound generation blocks to create sound bites and tones. If you're up for a challenge, try MicroPython in the Mu code editor. Note that the noise:bit is an amplifier, and the audio comes from the micro:bit PWM output on pad #0. It won't give you high - end audio but is perfect for basic sound effects. This fully - assembled device features a TPA301 amplifier chip, an 8Ω 2W Mylar speaker, and is compatible with micro:bit. Best of all, no soldering is required!

Using the noise:bit is super easy. First, just slide it into the micro:bit board. Once it's in place, you can start making sounds. If you're new, use the sound generation blocks in MakeCode to create different sound bites and tones. For those with more experience, try MicroPython in the Mu code editor. Remember, the noise:bit is an amplifier, so the audio comes from the micro:bit PWM output on pad #0. It won't give you top - notch audio but is great for basic effects. There's no need to worry about soldering as it comes fully assembled. As for maintenance, keep it clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture. If you have any issues, check the connection between the noise:bit and the micro:bit board.
