It comes with a Raspberry Pi Zero WH computer and a pre - loaded microSD card, giving you everything to build your own smart home assistant. You can even set it up using an Android tablet or phone without touching command - line tools. Google AIY Projects bring DIY artificial intelligence to your maker projects. With this voice kit, you can build a standalone Google Assistant smart speaker or add voice recognition and natural language processing to your Raspberry Pi projects. It includes all components for the basic kit that works with the Google Assistant SDK and on - device voice recognition with TensorFlow. It's a great weekend project that only takes a couple of hours to assemble and set up, and then you'll have your own hackable voice assistant. Check out Google's AIY companion app for Android (coming soon to iOS and Chrome) for wireless setup and configuration. You don't need to solder anything, so just make sure the connections are secure. Attach the speaker, push button, and other parts as per the included instructions. If you don't want to use command - line tools, you can set it up using an Android tablet or phone with the Google AIY companion app. Once set up, you can start asking it questions like directions to a dry cleaner, sending emails hands - free, or getting the weather.
