Product Details

This GFX HAT features a 2.15', 128x64 pixel LCD display with a cool six-zone RGB backlight and six capacitive touch buttons. It's perfect for headless Pi projects. Inspired by our popular Display-O-Tron HAT, it offers individual pixels for more complex graphics and real typefaces, along with useful capacitive touch buttons for input and navigation. Key features include an integrated diffuser/reflector assembly, an SN3218 LED driver chip (I2C address 0x54), a Microchip CAP1166 capacitive touch/LED driver chip (I2C address 0x2c), and compatibility with various Raspberry Pi models. It comes with a Python library and is fully assembled. Our Python library simplifies LCD display, backlight control, and linking functions to touch buttons, with examples to get you started. Note that our software doesn't support Raspbian Wheezy.

Using the GFX HAT is easy. First, make sure your Raspberry Pi is one of the compatible models (Raspberry Pi 3B+, 3, 2, B+, A+, Zero, or Zero W). Connect the GFX HAT to your Pi. Then, use the provided Python library to start displaying on the LCD, control the backlight, and link functions to the touch buttons. You can refer to the included examples to get a quick start. When it comes to maintenance, keep the display clean with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals. Also, be aware that the software does not support Raspbian Wheezy, so make sure your Pi is running a compatible operating system.
