Geiger Tube

Are you looking to test for nuclear fallout? Our Geiger tube is the key sensing part of Geiger counters, used to measure ionizing radiation. It's crafted from thin - walled stainless steel and filled with a low - pressure mixture of Neon and Halogen gases. You'll need a large voltage to operate it, with a minimum of 325VDC and a recommended 500VDC. When ionizing radiation passes through the tube, short current pulses flow from the negative to the positive electrode for measurement or counting. Check the datasheet below for the application circuit. This is the same tube on our Geiger Counter development board. Note that this product is under US export control. Using the Geiger tube is quite straightforward. First, make sure you have the right voltage supply, at least 325VDC, but it's better to use 500VDC.
