Product Details

Enhance your iPhone 5, iPad 4, iPad Mini, and other Lightning - compatible devices' USB charging and data transfer experience with this sophisticated flowing - effect EL cable. It features a thin electroluminescent cord at the center and a micro - inverter in the USB plug. This 2.5 - foot cable functions just like a regular USB cable for both data transfer and charging. As the current draw through the cable goes up, the flowing effect speeds up, which is a useful way to roughly estimate the current draw of your USB device. Note that the EL inverter constantly draws 70mA, so it can quickly drain a battery - powered USB pack. This cable is black with aqua EL and has a standard 'Lightning' connector at the end. We also offer white cables, cables with microUSB contacts, and those with earlier iPhone/iPad 30 - pin dock connectors.

Using this cable is easy. Just plug the USB end into a power source or a computer, and connect the Lightning connector to your device. It can be used for both charging and transferring data. When you notice the flowing effect speeding up, it means the current draw from your device is increasing. Be aware that the cable's EL inverter uses 70mA all the time. If you're using a battery - powered USB pack, it will drain faster. To maintain this cable, keep it away from sharp objects to avoid cutting the EL cord. Also, don't bend it too sharply or pull it forcefully, as this could damage the internal wiring.
