Diffused RGB (tri-color) 10mm LED (10 pack) [Common Anode]

Create eye - catching colors with these 10mm diffused tri - color LEDs! Each LED has separate red, green, and blue chips, making them great as indicators and super fun for creating color - swirling effects. Diffused RGB LEDs are awesome because they blend colors internally, rather than looking like three distinct LEDs. These are Common - Anode type LEDs. You simply connect one pin to around 5V and then connect the other three legs to ground via a resistor. We prefer and use Common - Anode (CA) more than Common - Cathode (CC) since many multi - LED driver chips, like the TLC5940/TLC5941, are designed specifically for CA and won't work with CC. Features include a 10mm diameter, red with a 623 nm wavelength, green at 523 nm, and blue at 467 nm. The forward voltage is 1.8 - 2.2V for red, 3.0 - 3.4V for green and blue at 20mA current. They have a 50 - degree viewing angle and typical brightness of 700 mcd for red, 2100 mcd for green, and 900 mcd for blue. A datasheet is also available.
