Product Details

This analog joystick gives you a nostalgic feel similar to the PlayStation 2 controller, and that's why it's one of our top - picks. We took it a step further and created a 'smart' version! This thumbstick reports its position via I2C and is Qwiic - system compatible, allowing you to add it to your project without soldering. The I2C address of the joystick is software - selectable, so you can connect multiple joysticks to the same bus without any conflicts. Remember, our SparkX products are not regularly produced, so grab them while they're available! These SparkX experimental products are quickly made to offer you the latest technology. They're tested, but there are no guarantees, and live technical support isn't available. Visit our forum for help or to ask questions.

Using this joystick is easy. First, connect it to your project using the Qwiic system - no soldering needed. The joystick will start reporting its position over I2C right away. You can add multiple joysticks to the same bus, but make sure to set different software - selectable I2C addresses for each one to avoid collisions. When handling the joystick, be gentle as it's a delicate device. Although it's tested, there's no guarantee, so use it with some caution. Since we don't regularly produce SparkX products, take good care of it. If you have any questions or need support, head over to our forum.
