Product Details

This 16mm white momentary pushbutton is a great blend of a switch and an LED. It's medium - sized, easy to press, and won't clutter your project panel. The built - in LED can be controlled independently of the switch. You can use it to indicate a status or just for a cool look. The body is made of black plastic with the LED inside. There are two contacts for the button and two for the LED, marked + and -. The LED has a forward voltage of about 3V. Just like with any other LED, connect a 220 - 1000 ohm resistor in series to your 3V or higher power supply. This button is normally open. When you press it, the two switch contacts connect temporarily until you release it. The LED can be set to light up when pressed, stay on all the time, or light up when not pressed.

Using this 16mm white momentary illuminated pushbutton is easy. First, make sure to connect the two button contacts and the two LED contacts correctly. The LED contacts are marked + and -. Remember to connect a 220 - 1000 ohm resistor in series with the LED when you're using a 3V or higher power supply. When it comes to the switch action, just press the button, and the two switch contacts will connect temporarily. Release the button, and they'll disconnect. You can control the LED however you like - make it light up when the button is pressed, when it's not pressed, or keep it always on. For maintenance, keep the button clean. Avoid getting it wet or exposing it to extreme temperatures. If you notice any issues with the LED or the switch, check the connections first. If the problem persists, you may need to replace the component.
