Product Details

This switch is a great blend of a switch and an LED! It's a medium - sized pushbutton that's easy to press and won't clutter your project panel. The built - in LED can be controlled independently of the switch action, either for indication or just for aesthetics. The body is made of black plastic with the LED inside. There are two contacts for the button and two for the LED, marked + and -. The LED has a forward voltage of about 3V, so connect a 220 - 1000 ohm resistor in series to your 3V or higher power supply, just like with any other LED. This specific button has a blue body and LED and is a latching on/off type. The two switch contacts connect or disconnect. Pushing the button toggles their state, like a regular on - off switch. You have full control over the LED, making it light up when on, off, or always lit.

Using this switch is easy. First, make sure your power supply is 3V or higher. Then, connect a 220 - 1000 ohm resistor in series with the LED's contacts marked + and - to avoid damaging the LED. The button's two contacts can be connected to your circuit as you would with a normal on - off switch. When you push the button, it will switch between the on and off states. You can decide when the LED lights up, whether it's when the switch is on, off, or all the time. As for maintenance, keep the switch clean and dry. Avoid using it in very dusty or wet environments. If the switch seems to stop working properly, check the connections to make sure they're secure.
