Enhance your robot or CNC with our 15mm supported slide rail and this amazing sliding ball - bearing platform. It's a bit larger than our other 15mm wide supported slide rail sliders. Measuring 60mm x 47mm, this platform has four outside holes tapped for M4 machine screws, allowing you to attach whatever you like. The plastic interior with circulating ball bearings ensures smooth sliding along the railing. Once attached, the platform stays securely on the railing. Thanks to the T - shaped rail, it offers good support. For loads up to ~5 lb, one rail might be enough. Many CNC projects use two on opposite sides of the machine body for a larger platform. You can also add your own support mechanism. This comes as a single bearing platform, and you'll need at least one 15mm railing. Check out our CNC category for more bearings, supports, and platforms. Note: These platforms may be black or green on the outside, and we can't control which color you'll get as it depends on availability. Both colors work equally well. Remember, don't attach the slider to the railing without the plastic insert. It keeps the ball bearings in place. Losing one or two ball bearings won't stop it from working, but it's best to keep them all.
Using this product is easy. First, make sure you have the plastic insert in place before attaching the slider to the 15mm railing. The insert holds the ball bearings while you fit the slider on. You can attach various things to the platform using the four M4 - tapped holes on the outside. For lighter loads up to about 5 lb, one rail may be sufficient, but for larger platforms in CNC projects, it's better to use two on opposite sides of the machine body. You can also come up with your own support setup. As for maintenance, try to keep all the ball bearings in place. If you lose one or two, it'll still work, but it's best to keep them all for optimal performance. And don't worry about the color. Whether it's black or green on the outside, they both work the same way.
