Using this PIR motion sensor is easy. First, connect it to a power source that provides between 5V and 12V. If you need to use 3V, you'll have to do a bit of soldering to bypass the regulator. The 1 - foot cable with a socket allows you to place the sensor where you need it or mount it using the holes on the sides. Adjust the delay and sensitivity according to your needs. The sensor can detect movement from pets or people up to 20 feet away. Just be aware that if you want to run it on 3V, you'll need basic soldering skills. For maintenance, keep it clean and free from dust. Check the wiring regularly to make sure there are no loose connections. If you want more in - depth guidance, refer to the PIR sensor tutorial page.
