Product Details

The Pi-EzConnect Terminal Block Breakout HAT is a game - changer! Connect various electronics to a single Raspberry Pi without soldering or breadboarding. It features screw - terminals for each pin on the Pi Header. Key highlights include solderless or soldered GPIO connections, a mini proto area for component addition, and the ability to add standard headers for breadboard - like use. It provides both 5V and 3.3V power along with ground connections. With a compact footprint, it easily fits on top of a Raspberry Pi. The pins are fully documented, so you can connect without referring to external charts. It also has a resettable 8V, 1.6A fuse for power protection. You can use 0.1' (2.54mm) spaced male or female headers, and its standoff connections match Raspberry Pi model A+, B+, and Pi 2. Compatible with Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, Pi 2 Model B, Model B+, and Model A+, but not for '2x13' models like Pi 1 Model B or A. More details are available on the datasheet and the Alchemy Power website.

Using the Pi - EzConnect Terminal Block Breakout HAT is easy. First, place it on top of your compatible Raspberry Pi. You don't need to solder; just use the screw - terminals to connect your electronics. For adding extra components, use the mini proto area. You can also attach male or female headers to get breadboard - like functionality. When it comes to power, connect to either 5V or 3.3V as needed, and make sure to connect the ground. The pins are clearly labeled, so you won't have to look up external charts. Keep in mind that this HAT is not for '2x13' Raspberry Pi models such as Pi 1 Model B or A. For maintenance, avoid overloading the power. The resettable fuse will protect the 3.3V and 5V power, but if it trips, reduce the load and it will reset. Refer to the datasheet and the Alchemy Power website for more in - depth information.
