Product Details

These small 1.3 - inch diagonal OLED displays offer excellent readability thanks to their high - contrast OLED technology. Composed of 128x64 individual white OLED pixels controlled by a chip, they emit their own light, eliminating the need for a backlight. This not only cuts down on power consumption but also results in stunning contrast. We're big fans of this compact display for its sharpness! The SSD1306 driver chip supports two communication modes: I2C and SPI. The OLED requires a 3.3V power supply and 3.3V logic levels, but we've included a 3.3V regulator and level - shifted all pins, making it compatible with 5V devices. Power usage varies based on the lit area, with an average draw of about 40mA from the 3.3V supply. The built - in switch - cap charge pump converts 3.3V - 5V to a high - voltage drive for the OLEDs. We provide a detailed Arduino library with example code for text and graphics. You'll need a microcontroller with over 1K of RAM as the display needs buffering. The library can handle text, bitmaps, pixels, rectangles, circles, and lines, using 1K of RAM for buffering yet offering fast performance. It's easy to adapt the code to other microcontrollers.

Using this 1.3 - inch monochrome OLED display is a breeze. First, connect it to your device. Thanks to the included 3.3V regulator and level - shifted pins, you can use it with both 3.3V and 5V devices. For communication, you can choose between I2C and SPI modes according to your needs. When powering it up, keep in mind that the power consumption depends on how much of the display is lit, with an average draw of about 40mA from the 3.3V supply. To use the display for text and graphics, we've provided an Arduino library. You'll need a microcontroller with more than 1K of RAM to buffer the display. The library is quite user - friendly and can print various shapes and text. You can easily adapt the code to other microcontrollers. As for maintenance, keep the display away from excessive heat, moisture, and physical damage. If you're not using it for a long time, store it in a dry and cool place. And that's all you need to know to get the most out of this great little display!
