This straight bar load cell, also known as a strain gauge, can convert up to 10kg of pressure (force) into an electrical signal. It measures the change in electrical resistance, which is proportional to the strain (like pressure or force) applied to the bar. With this gauge, you can easily determine an object's weight, detect weight changes over time, or sense an object's presence by measuring the strain or load on a surface. Made from aluminum - alloy, it has a 10kg capacity. It comes with four strain gauges arranged in a wheatstone bridge. The wiring color code is: red = E+, green = O+, black = E-, and white = O-. It has an IP66 protection rating and two M4 and two M5 sized through - holes for mounting. Dimensions are 80mm x 12.7mm x 12.7mm with a 250mm wire. Documents include a datasheet, a load cell amplifier hookup guide, and a getting - started guide for load cells.

Using this load cell is easy. First, find a suitable surface to mount it on using the M4 and M5 sized through - holes. Connect the wires according to the color code: red to E+, green to O+, black to E-, and white to O-. Then, place the object whose weight you want to measure on the load cell. It will convert the pressure into an electrical signal, and you can read the weight. When using, make sure not to exceed the 10kg capacity as it may damage the load cell. Keep it in a dry place as it has an IP66 protection rating, but extreme moisture can still cause problems. For maintenance, periodically check the wiring for any signs of wear or damage. If you need more information, refer to the datasheet and the load cell amplifier hookup guide.
