Product Details

These 24mm translucent green mini LED arcade buttons are truly unique. Unlike ordinary buttons and switches, they come with built - in LEDs! When you use them, you'll enjoy a beautiful glow as you mash the buttons. They're the same size as common miniature arcade controls and need a 24mm diameter hole for mounting, so they're often called 24mm diameter buttons. The buttons can be screwed in place, suitable for materials up to about 15mm thick. They can cover imperfectly round or unclean holes. The button action is smooth, with no strong click, but you can clearly feel when it's pressed. A pre - installed tiny micro - switch has gold - plated contacts. Even when unlit, they look amazing with a crystal - like translucent and glossy appearance. There are two surface - mount LEDs with resistors built into the button body. There are two additional contacts next to the switch contacts for powering and controlling the LEDs. The two LEDs are connected in parallel, each with about a 1K resistor. You can power the LEDs from a microcontroller pin or directly from 5V (like USB) with a 10mA draw. If you use 3.3V power, each button only draws 2mA, but the LEDs will be dimmer.

Using these 24mm green mini LED arcade buttons is easy. First, find a material up to about 15mm thick and drill a 24mm diameter hole. Then, screw the button into place. You can connect the power to the additional contacts next to the switch contacts to light up the LEDs. You can use a microcontroller pin or 5V power like USB. Just note that if you use 3.3V power, the LEDs will be dimmer. When it comes to maintenance, keep the buttons clean. Avoid using sharp objects to press the buttons to prevent damage to the micro - switch inside. If the button seems less responsive, check the connections to make sure they are secure.
