This 16mm illuminated pushbutton switch is a fantastic blend of a switch and an LED. It's a medium-sized button, easy to press and won't take up too much space on your project panel. The switch comes with a built-in yellow LED that can be controlled independently from the switch action, adding both functionality and a nice look. The body is made of black plastic with the LED inside. There are two contacts for the button and two for the LED, marked + and - respectively. The LED has a forward voltage of about 2.2V. When connecting it to a 3V or higher power supply, just like any other LED, you should connect a 220 to 1000 ohm resistor in series. This yellow latching on/off switch has two switch contacts that can be either connected or disconnected. When you press the button, it switches states, just like a regular on-off switch. And since the LED is separate from the button, you can make it light up in different states, like when the switch is on, off, or always lit.

Using this switch is easy. First, locate the four contacts: two for the button and two for the LED. The LED contacts are marked + and -. When connecting the LED to a 3V or higher power supply, don't forget to add a 220 to 1000 ohm resistor in series. This will protect the LED. To use the switch, just press it. It will switch between the connected and disconnected states. You can control the LED separately. You can make it light up when the switch is on, off, or keep it always lit according to your needs. As for maintenance, keep the switch clean and dry. Avoid getting it wet or exposing it to extreme temperatures. If you notice any issues with the switch or the LED, check the connections first. If the problem persists, it might be a good idea to replace the switch.
