Product Details

This MicroUSB to 5.5/2.1mm DC Barrel Jack Adapter is a simple yet handy device. One end has a MicroUSB plug, and the other end features a 5.5mm/2.1mm DC barrel jack with center positive polarity. It enables you to connect our 5V 2 Amp, 5V 4A, or 5V 10 Amp adapters to devices that usually connect to 5V USB. Unlike the cable - version, this adapter is compact and cute! It doesn't have resistors for data lines, so it won't charge iPhones, iPods, iPads, or other devices needing resistance on D+ and D - connections. But it works great for Arduinos, BeagleBones, Raspberry Pis, many generic cellphones, Android devices, and most USB - powered gadgets. Remember, there's no regulator or voltage protection. Plugging in a 9V or 12V power supply can damage devices expecting around 5V, so be extra careful!

Using this adapter is easy. Just plug the MicroUSB end into your 5V adapter like our 5V 2 Amp, 5V 4A, or 5V 10 Amp ones. Then, connect the 5.5/2.1mm DC barrel jack end to your device that usually connects to 5V USB. Note that it won't work for charging iPhones, iPods, or iPads as it lacks the necessary resistors for data lines. When it comes to power supply, only use 5V sources. Avoid plugging in 9V or 12V power supplies because there's no voltage protection in this adapter, and it could damage your device. As for maintenance, keep it dry and clean. If it gets dirty, you can use a dry cloth to wipe it gently.
