Product Details
The Microstack accelerometer offers effortless, plug-and-play integration and development for designs that need an accelerometer function. It's compatible with all platforms that support the Microstack framework. This accelerometer can detect position and perform 3-axis detection of up, down, left, right, face down, and face up. The MMA8491Q acceleration sensor is a low-voltage, 3-axis low-g accelerometer in a 3mm x 3mm QFN package. It can work in two configurations, either as a 45-degree tilt sensor or a digital output 14-bit, ±8g accelerometer with an I2C bus. With a 1.95V to 3.6V VDD supply range, 6µA to 165µA current consumption, 1.56Hz to 800Hz update interval, and ±2g/±4g/±8g dynamically selectable ranges, it's highly versatile. It can be used with Microstack adapter baseboards like Raspberry Pi and directly in breadboards, prototyping, and custom designs. Ideal for Sensing & Instrumentation, Robotics, Security, and Hobby & Education.
Using the Microstack accelerometer is really easy. First, make sure your device is compatible with the Microstack framework. Then, simply plug it in for a quick setup. It can be used with Microstack adapter baseboards such as Raspberry Pi, or directly in breadboards for prototyping. When using it, keep in mind that the power supply should be within the 1.95V to 3.6V range. Also, be aware of the current consumption which varies from 6µA to 165µA. For the best performance, choose the appropriate update interval between 1.56Hz and 800Hz, and select the right range (±2g/±4g/±8g) according to your needs. As for maintenance, keep it in a dry and clean place. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or physical shocks. If you have any problems, refer to the product manual or contact our support team.
