Product Details

This disc load cell, also known as a strain gauge, is an amazing device that can convert up to 200kg of pressure (force) into an electrical signal. It can measure the change in electrical resistance in proportion to the strain (such as pressure or force) applied to the disc. With this gauge, you can easily determine the weight of an object, track weight changes over time, or simply detect the presence of an object by measuring the strain or load on a surface. Compared to bar - style load cells, disc load cells are easier to mount, making them a breeze to integrate into your design. Each load cell is crafted from a steel alloy and has a capacity of 200kg. It features four strain gauges arranged in a wheatstone bridge formation. The wiring color code is: red = E+, green = O+, black = E -, and white = O -. Additionally, it comes with an IP66 protection rating. Dimensions: 20mm x 11mm, 2000mm Wire. Documents include Datasheet, Load Cell Amplifier Hookup Guide, and Getting Started with Load Cells.

Using this load cell is quite simple. First, mount it in your desired location. It's easier to mount compared to bar - style ones, so you won't have much trouble. Once it's mounted, connect the wires according to the color code: red to E+, green to O+, black to E -, and white to O -. When an object applies pressure on the disc, it will convert that pressure into an electrical signal. You can then use this signal to measure the weight of the object or detect its presence. As for maintenance, keep it in a dry environment because it has an IP66 protection rating but still avoid excessive moisture. Check the wiring regularly to make sure there are no loose connections. If you encounter any issues, refer to the datasheet or the Load Cell Amplifier Hookup Guide.
