This infrared proximity sensor is made by Sharp. Part number GP2Y0A02YK0F offers an analog output that changes from 2.8V at 15cm to 0.4V at 150cm. It operates with a supply voltage between 4.5 and 5.5VDC. It comes with a Japanese Solderless Terminal (JST) Connector. We suggest buying the related pigtail below or soldering wires directly to the back of the module. This sensor can detect objects up to 5 feet away, making it a great choice for your detection needs! There is also a datasheet (Datasheet GP2Y0A02YK0F) available for more information.

Using this infrared proximity sensor is easy. First, make sure the supply voltage is between 4.5 and 5.5VDC. You can either connect it using the provided JST Connector or solder wires directly to the back of the module. If you're not good at soldering, we recommend buying the related pigtail. When using it, place the sensor where you want to detect objects up to 5 feet away. The sensor will give an analog output that changes according to the distance of the object. As for maintenance, keep it clean and avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures. If you need more technical details, check out the datasheet.
