Product Details

This standard 22 AWG hook-up wire is a top - choice for making general connections in various projects, whether they involve low or high current applications. When you just need two connections, like for power, a button, or an indicator LED, it helps you keep your wiring neat and organized. It's also commonly used as speaker wire to connect your speaker amp to the speakers. Soldering this wire into place is a breeze, and it also works great with many of our solderless connection options such as screw terminals, latch connector blocks, and spade connectors. One conductor has a white line and the other is covered with clear plastic, which makes it easy to distinguish the lines and ensures correct connections at both ends. This stranded cable is highly flexible. It comes in 25 - foot spools. Features include PVC insulation material with a 0.017 - inch thickness, a temperature rating of 105°C, a voltage rating of 300V, a clear jacket color, a nominal outer diameter of 0.070 x 0.140 inches, and part number 5142. A datasheet is also available.

Using this hook - up wire is simple. For projects that need two connections, like powering a small device or connecting an indicator LED, just strip the ends of the wire and make your connections. If you're using it as speaker wire, connect one end to your speaker amp and the other to the speakers. You can solder the wire for a permanent connection or use our solderless options like screw terminals. When handling the wire, be careful not to over - bend it too sharply as it may damage the strands inside. To maintain the wire, store it in a dry place away from direct sunlight. If it gets dirty, you can gently wipe it with a dry cloth. Always check the temperature and voltage ratings before use to ensure it's suitable for your application.
