Product Details

The SPK6618H represents the latest breakthrough in GNSS antenna technology. It enables tri-band (L1/L2/L5) reception for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou constellations. These 'UFO' antennas offer amazing performance at a great price. With a built-in ground plane, it provides significant filtering and amplification of L1, L2, and L5 frequencies for all relevant satellites. Ideal for surveying or fixed antenna applications. For automotive uses, check out our u-blox ANN-MB-00 GNSS antenna. If weight is a concern, like in RTK drones, the BT-560 helical GNSS antenna is a great choice. Designed for the latest u-blox F9 platform, it offers a fast, easy, and reliable multi-band antenna solution. It can also be used with any GPS/GNSS receiver that benefits from L1/L2 dual or L1/L2/L5 triband reception. While it works well with normal L1 GPS/GNSS receivers, it won't turn a $20 receiver into a $200 one. Make sure your receiver can use the L1 and L2 signals this antenna outputs. Even if your receiver isn't compatible with L5, using this tri-band antenna won't cause any problems. We took one apart to see how it works! The antenna has a 130mm ground plane with six hybrid couplers for signal phasing, making it less affected by manufacturing issues. Be aware of the unique connection points on this antenna. It has a TNC female connector common in surveying antennas. We suggest using a TNC Male to SMA adapter or cable with our GNSS receivers. It also uses a standard 5/8'-11TPI connector for surveying equipment, not compatible with camera tripods. A 5/8' to 1/4' tripod adapter is recommended. You can find 5/8'-11TPI threaded rods in most North American hardware stores. For info on permanently mounting it on a roof, see our DIY GNSS Reference Station tutorial. Note: An RTK Express, tripod, and other accessories are not included with the antenna and need to be bought separately. Features: - Overall antenna weight: 473g - Bare antenna element weight (including MMCX connector): 124.5g Documents: - SPK6618H Datasheet - 3D Step File

Using the SPK6618H antenna is straightforward. First, check if your receiver can use the L1 and L2 signals this antenna outputs. If your receiver isn't compatible with L5, it's still okay to use this tri - band antenna. For connection, since it has a TNC female connector, use a TNC Male to SMA adapter or cable when using it with our GNSS receivers. And because it uses a 5/8'-11TPI connector, if you're using a camera tripod, you'll need a 5/8' to 1/4' tripod adapter. When it comes to maintenance, keep it in a dry and clean place. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or harsh weather conditions. If you want to permanently fix it to a roof, refer to our DIY GNSS Reference Station tutorial. Remember, the RTK Express, tripod, and other accessories are not included with the antenna, so you'll need to purchase them separately.
