You'll need basic soldering and hand tools to install the JST connector on the Trinket's bottom side and connect the NeoPixel rings. We don't include a soldering iron or solder, but you can find them in the Adafruit store. Epoxy or hot glue can be bought at most hardware or craft stores. The soldering is beginner - friendly, and it's a 1 - 2 hour project (30 minutes for kit - making pros!). Check the tutorial page to see what you need to finish the project. You'll also need a classic USB Mini B cable to program the Trinket. We don't include it as people usually have plenty of USB cables, but you can get one from us if needed.

First, get your hands on the necessary tools like basic soldering and hand tools, a soldering iron, solder, epoxy or hot glue, and a classic USB Mini B cable. Start by installing the JST connector on the bottom side of the Trinket using soldering tools. Then, connect the NeoPixel rings. The soldering part is easy, even for beginners. If you're new to this, it might take 1 - 2 hours, but experts can finish in just 30 minutes. When handling the Lithium Ion Polymer Battery, be careful not to overcharge or damage it. Store the battery in a cool, dry place. After assembling the goggles, you can use the 'Getting Started with Adafruit Trinket' book to program the Trinket with the USB Mini B cable. If you're not using the goggles for a long time, remove the battery to avoid any potential damage. Keep the goggles away from water and excessive heat. If the NeoPixel rings seem dim, check the connections and the battery charge.
