Product Details

The MyoWare® 2.0 Power Shield is an ideal solution for remotely powering the MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor. It features snap connectors on the board, allowing you to effortlessly stack it on top of the sensor. Just flip the switch to ON, and the sensor gets all the power it needs to detect myoelectric signals. Each board comes with a 40mAh single - cell lithium - polymer (LiPo) battery soldered on. You can recharge it via the USB Type C connector using its dedicated LiPo charging circuit set at a 40mA charge rate. There are also status LEDs for charging (CHG, FULL), power (VIN), and envelope (ENV). Powering the MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor with this battery gives a cleaner signal and eliminates the risk of a dangerous current path to the power grid, making it perfect for portable use. Note that due to the installed battery, this item may take longer to process and doesn't qualify for same - day shipping. Also, the batteries can't be shipped via Ground or Economy methods to Alaska or Hawaii. The MyoWare and the Power Shield aren't for diagnosing, curing, or preventing diseases in humans or animals. The MyoWare® 2.0 ecosystem includes shields that easily interface with the low - cost, Arduino - compatible MyoWare® 2.0 Muscle Sensor. Its innovative connector system lets you snap shields together in a compact way and connect to a microcontroller's analog input to measure muscle electrical activity without soldering. This product is a collaboration with Brian Kaminski from Advancer Technologies, and a portion of each sale goes back to them for support and development. Key features include a 5V input via USB Type C, a nominal 3.7V output (4.2V when fully charged), a power switch, a built - in 40mAh LiPo battery, an MCP73831 charge IC with a 40mA charge rate, 3 female snap pins for power and EMG envelope output, multiple status LEDs, and board dimensions of 53.34mm x 59.69mm (2.10” x 2.35”). This revision has a 2 - pin, 1.00mm pitch JST - SH connector. There are various documents available, such as board dimensions, hookup guides, and more. And remember, this product is patent - protected.

Using the MyoWare 2.0 Power Shield is a breeze. First, stack it on top of the MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor using the snap connectors. Then, flip the power switch to the ON position to start powering the sensor. To charge the built - in 40mAh LiPo battery, connect it to a power source via the USB Type C connector. The status LEDs will show you the charging and power status. When the CHG LED is on, it's charging; when the FULL LED is on, the battery is fully charged. The VIN LED shows power status, and the ENV LED gives you information about the envelope. For maintenance, keep the board clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture. Since this item has a battery, it may take longer to process and doesn't qualify for same - day shipping. Also, you can't ship the batteries via Ground or Economy methods to Alaska or Hawaii. Remember, this product is not for medical diagnosis or treatment. It's designed for general use with the MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor in portable applications.
