Product Details

A sleek black box arrives in the mail. It's a Cupcade from Adafruit, and you've been eagerly awaiting it. You dash to your workbench, fire up your soldering iron, and unpack your kit. But something's amiss - there's no soundtrack! No worries. You head over to the record player across the room. The case you're after is on display, sitting on a shelf beside family photos and 3D - printed gadgets. You grab the case, pull out the vivid pink 150 - gram 12 - inch vinyl disc, and place it on the player. As you flip the stereo switch, the gentle whir of the spinning record blends with the low hum of your Hakko. A soft fuzz fills the room. As you lift the needle and place it on the record's first groove, the tone swells. Anticipation gives way to ethereal beats. You realize, 'Soldering isn't complete without Bartlebeats.' 'Frequency by Bartlebeats' is the perfect soundtrack for your soldering sessions. It's Adafruit's first vinyl record, gathering the driving music from our YouTube channel, much like a powerful V8 engine in a Mustang. All the tracks are neatly packaged in a unique, limited - edition, old - school style. The record itself is a beautiful pink, housed in a case with cover art by artist Bruce Yan. It's an ideal way to show off your DIY pride and Adafruit spirit. And as a bonus, we're offering a free digital download via the Bartlebeats bandcamp page. You've heard this music in our videos, but now you can own it. Side A features tracks like Idea3, Carpeter, and Neat Please. Side B includes University, Discovered, and Shooter. Bartlebeats is the multi - talented Tom White, our Receiving Director and Office Manager, who's also part of the rock band Frog and a bassist in Little Anchor. The album art is by Bruce Yan, and it's produced by Ladyada, pt & the Adafruit team.

Using your Frequency vinyl record is a breeze. First, make sure your record player is clean and in good working condition. Gently take the vivid pink 150 - gram 12 - inch vinyl disc out of its case and place it carefully on the turntable. Then, switch on your stereo and slowly lower the needle onto the first groove of the record. Enjoy the ethereal beats as you solder or just relax. When you're done, lift the needle gently and turn off the stereo. To keep your record in top shape, always handle it by the edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches. Store it in its case when not in use, and keep it away from direct sunlight and heat. If the record gets dirty, you can use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe it. And don't forget to claim your free digital download on the Bartlebeats bandcamp page for on - the - go listening.
