Fingerprint scanners are truly amazing! Why rely on a key when you have a secure solution right at your fingertips? However, many scanners out there are unreliable or hard to integrate. But this GT - 521F32 fingerprint module from ADH - Tech changes the game. It communicates via TTL Serial, making it a breeze to add to your next project. With an onboard optical sensor and a 32 - bit ARM Cortex M3 processor, it handles all the fingerprint reading and identification tasks.The setup is simple. Just send the appropriate command and press your finger against the reader three times to register each fingerprint you want to store. This scanner can hold multiple fingerprints, and you can even download the fingerprint database from the unit and share it with other modules. Besides the fingerprint 'template', you can get the fingerprint image and raw images from the optical sensor!This economical version of the GT - 521F52 can store up to 200 different fingerprints. It offers 360° fingerprint recognition and supports template download/upload through the serial interface. The GT - 521Fxx series has a 450dpi resolution, with a false acceptance rate of <0.001% and a false rejection rate of <0.1%, and it can identify a unique fingerprint in less than 1.5 seconds!The module is compact and easy to install, thanks to the four mounting holes around the sensor. The onboard JST - SH connector has four signals: Vcc, GND, Tx, and Rx. You can find a compatible JST - SH pigtail in the Hookup Accessories section.Note: Although this fingerprint scanner has the same connector as our Qwiic boards, it's not Qwiic or I2C compatible. But our Qwiic cables, like the 100mm version, will work with this board.
