Product Details

A Feather board is incomplete without FeatherWings! Introducing the FeatherWing OLED. It's a fantastic add - on that attaches a 128x32 monochrome OLED screen and 3 user - friendly buttons to any Feather main board. With our Feather Stacking Headers or Feather Female Headers, you can easily stack this FeatherWing on top of your Feather board and unlock its full potential! These small displays, just about 1' diagonal, offer amazing readability thanks to the high - contrast nature of OLED technology. The screen is made up of 128x32 individual white OLED pixels. Since the display emits its own light, there's no need for a backlight. This not only cuts down on power consumption but also gives the display its incredibly high contrast. We love this miniature display for its sharp and clear visuals! Additionally, it comes with a reset button and three mini tactile buttons labeled A, B, and C, allowing you to create a simple user interface for your Feather board. It has been tested and works flawlessly with all Feather boards. The OLED only uses the two I2C pins on the Feather, and you can stack it with almost any other FeatherWing, even those that use I2C because it's a shared bus. To start using it, check out our tutorial which includes schematics, datasheets, files, and code examples. Also, explore our wide range of Feather boards here.

Using the FeatherWing OLED is easy. First, use our Feather Stacking Headers or Feather Female Headers to connect the FeatherWing on top of your Feather main board. Once it's connected, you can start adding a mini user interface with the three buttons (A, B, and C). To learn more about how to code and set it up, refer to our tutorial which has all the schematics, datasheets, files, and code examples. As for maintenance, since the display doesn't have a backlight, there's not much to worry about in terms of that component. Just make sure to keep the board and the display clean and free from dust. When handling the board, be gentle with the buttons and the connections. And remember, it works with all Feather boards, so you can freely stack it with other FeatherWings that use the I2C bus.
