Product Details

If you're into DIY cable - making, these USB adapters are perfect for you! Creating custom USB cables has never been this simple. Just pick one of our ribbon cables and use the flex cable clips to swap our USB adapters at both ends. There are numerous options available. This product is a Straight USB Type C Male Plug only. Note that the ribbon cable and other adapters are not included. Explore all the choices in our shop to make your own unique cable. We tested these DIY cable kits with a Circuit Playground and a computer USB port, and they worked well even with longer ribbon cables. However, keep in mind that they're not as durable or shielded as pre - made cables.

Using these DIY USB cable parts is super easy. First, select a ribbon cable from our collection. Then, take the flex cable clips and use them to attach the Straight USB Type C Male Plug to one or both ends of the ribbon cable as you like. There are many adapter options for you to create a cable that suits your needs. Remember, the ribbon cable and other adapters are not included in this product, so you'll need to get them separately from our shop. When using the cable, it works well with a Circuit Playground and a computer USB port, even for longer ribbon lengths. But these DIY cables aren't as durable or well - shielded as ready - made ones. So, handle them gently. For maintenance, keep them in a dry and clean place to avoid damage. Don't pull the cable too hard or bend it sharply, as this might break the connection.
