This 7.0” intelligent touchscreen LCD display module, the uLCD-70DT from 4D Systems, is driven by the DIABLO16 graphics processor. It's ideal for applications that need a large intelligent display and is the biggest size offered by 4D Systems. The DIABLO16 Processor has significant FLASH and RAM upgrades compared to the PICASO processor. It provides useful functions like I2C, SPI, Serial, PWM, Pulse Out, and Quadrature Input to various GPIO, along with up to 4 Analog Input channels. The uLCD-70DT has 2mm pitch male headers to connect optional modules. 4D Systems plans to launch compatible modules for features like WiFi or Bluetooth, enabling connection with remote devices. A 5V, 1A - 2A power supply is recommended. Key features include a 7.0” intelligent LCD-TFT display powered by DIABLO16, 800 x 480 resolution with RGB 65K true-to-life colors, a TFT screen with an integrated 4-wire resistive touch panel, a 5-pin interface to any TTL Serial Host, 6 banks of 32750 bytes of Flash memory, 32Kb of SRAM, 16 I/O pins with 4 configurable Analog Inputs, and 4.0V to 5.5V range operation. Available documents are Datasheet, Product Brief, Workshop4 IDE, and Product Video.

Using the uLCD-70DT is easy. First, connect it to a TTL Serial Host using the 5-pin interface. Make sure to use a 5V power supply with a current of 1A - 2A as recommended. The touch panel allows you to interact with the display easily. For additional features, you can connect optional modules using the 2mm pitch male headers. When it comes to maintenance, keep the display clean with a soft cloth. Avoid using abrasive materials. Also, ensure the operating voltage stays within the 4.0V to 5.5V range.
