It's deceptively small and slim but incredibly bright. All you need to do is hook it up to a 5V power source with 500mA current capability, and your projects will light up in no time. Note that this ring has many LEDs and will get hot as it's not in a heatsink case. If you plan to keep it on for over a minute, you can add a heatsink, use PWM, or reduce the current by adding a diode or resistor in series. These aren't 'NeoPixel' LEDs, so you can turn the whole thing on/off or dim it with a PWM power signal, but not individual LEDs.
