Product Details

This is a top - notch inverter for EL wire and tape. It's like our pocket inverters but comes in a brick - like shape. Instead of running on 2 AA batteries, it takes a 12V input. This makes it perfect for fixed installations as you can simply plug it into a 12V wall adapter. It's also great for portable projects. If you use a big battery pack like an 8xAA holder, it'll last 4 - 5 times longer than 2xAA batteries. It's more powerful too, capable of driving twice as much EL as the 2xAA inverter. With twice the power of the 2xAA pocket inverter, you can power up to 6 meters (20 feet) of our high - brightness EL wire, or 12 meters (40 feet) of plain EL, or up to 100 square centimeters of panel/tape, like a 10x10cm square or 1 meter of 1 cm wide tape. Note that this inverter is designed for battery or wall adapter use only and not rated for direct connection to a 12V car inverter. If it's noisy, you can open the case and apply acrylic paint to the inductor/transform to quiet it down.

Using this inverter is easy. For fixed installations, just plug it into a 12V wall adapter. For portable projects, use a big battery pack like an 8xAA holder. When it comes to powering EL items, you can connect up to 6 meters of high - brightness EL wire, 12 meters of plain EL, or 100 square centimeters of panel/tape. Remember, this inverter is only for battery or wall adapter use. Don't connect it directly to a 12V car inverter. If you find the inverter is making too much noise, you can open the case carefully and pour some acrylic paint on the inductor/transform to reduce the noise. Keep the inverter in a dry and cool place to ensure its long - term performance.
