Product Details

This industrial-grade Modbus RTU 32-channel relay module with an RS485 interface offers multiple isolation protection circuits for enhanced safety and reliability. It comes in a rail-mount ABS case for easy installation. Using the Modbus RTU protocol, it provides fast, stable, and safe communication, making it perfect for industrial control equipment. Features include a configurable device address (1 - 255) for multi-device cascading on the RS485 bus, a flash-on/flash-off function, a 7 - 36V wide voltage power supply, onboard power supply and ADI magnetic isolation, resettable fuses and TVS diodes for surge protection, optocoupler isolation, a dedicated relay driver chip, a reverse-proof circuit, high-quality relays with a contact rating of ≤10A 250VAC/30VDC, and 3 LEDs for status indication. When many devices are cascaded or the communication distance is long, RS485 repeaters may be needed. The power supply adapter is not included by default, and a 12V power supply is recommended if needed. Check the wiki at www.waveshare.com/wiki/Modbus_RTU_Relay_32CH for more information.

Using this Modbus RTU 32-channel relay module is a breeze. First, make sure to install it in the rail-mount ABS case for easy and safe setup. Connect it to your system via the RS485 interface and configure the device address between 1 and 255 according to your needs. You can cascade multiple devices on the RS485 bus to expand your control system. For the power supply, use a 7 - 36V wide voltage source. If you need a power supply, it's recommended to get a 12V one as the adapter is not included by default. When using the flash-on/flash-off function, you can send commands to turn the relay on for a while and then have it close automatically. Keep in mind that if you have many devices cascaded or the communication distance is long, you'll need to use RS485 repeaters. As for maintenance, check the resettable fuses and other protection circuits regularly to ensure they are working properly. Avoid incorrect connections as the reverse-proof circuit can only prevent accidental damage to a certain extent. Also, make sure the environment where the module is used is clean and dry to keep it in good condition.
