Pogo Pins Cupped Head (10 pack) [P75-A2]

Pogo pins are small spring-loaded contacts that are incredibly useful. They're great for making jigs or creating momentary but reliable electrical connections. We often use dozens of them for programming and testing jigs. They're also handy when you need to JTAG program a board where soldering headers isn't an option. Just insert these thin contacts into a 0.1' pitch IDC programming cable and press it onto the contacts. These pins are ideal as they're thin enough to fit into most proto or perf boards. The body (the gold part) has a 1.0mm/0.04' diameter, while the spring contact head is 1.3mm (0.05') wide. The uncompressed length is 16.5mm/0.65', and when compressed, it's 13.8mm/0.54'. Using these pogo pins is easy. First, if you're making a jig, insert the pins into the proto or perf board as they're thin enough to fit. For programming a board, take the thin contacts and insert them into a 0.1' pitch IDC programming cable. Then press the cable onto the contacts on the board. When handling the pins, be gentle to avoid damaging the spring mechanism. Don't use excessive force when compressing them. To maintain these pins, keep them in a dry place away from moisture. If they get dirty, you can use a soft brush to clean them. But avoid using harsh chemicals as they might damage the gold - plated body.
