Product Details

This budget-friendly Prop Shield for Teensy 3.2 and Teensy-LC is perfect for creating amazing light and sound effects on small handheld props and wearable costumes! Ideal for various projects, it's designed by the Teensy creator, ensuring great support. It features a 2 Watt audio amp for clear audio output to a small speaker, two high-speed 5V buffers to drive APA102 / Dotstar LEDs for quick and colorful lighting, and an 8 Mbyte flash memory for storing images, sound clips, and logging data. It's about the size of a Teensy, just a bit longer for mounting holes and connections. This lower-cost version is the same as the standard one, except the motion + temp/pressure sensors aren't soldered in. More info on the PJRC site!

Using this Prop Shield is easy. First, connect it to your Teensy 3.2 or Teensy - LC. Then, attach a small speaker for audio and APA102 / Dotstar LEDs for lighting. You can start creating light and sound effects right away. When using, make sure to connect the power, speaker, and LEDs properly. Don't expose it to extreme temperatures or moisture. For maintenance, keep it clean and free from dust. If you want to store images, sound clips, or log data, use the 8 Mbyte flash memory. Remember, this version doesn't have the motion + temp/pressure sensors soldered in, so don't expect related functions. Check the PJRC site for more details if you have any questions.
