AHOY! Want to spell out LOVE with this super COOL Raspberry Pi Four Letter pHAT? Pimoroni's Four Letter pHAT features four 14-segment displays in a beautiful retro green color, just like your old digital alarm clock. You can use these displays to show text, numbers, and various other characters. The LEDs are driven by the HT16K33 chip over I2C, which takes care of all the multiplexing for you. Although it's designed to match a Pi Zero in shape and size, it works well with any Pi that has a 2x20 connector. This pHAT is perfect for project readouts, like showing temperatures or times. It becomes even more useful when paired with other Pimoroni boards such as Enviro pHAT or Explorer pHAT to display sensor values. Features include four 14-segment displays with green LEDs, an HT16K33 driver chip, compatibility with Raspberry Pi 3, 2, B+, A+, Zero, and Zero W (any 2x20 connector Pi), and it comes with an easy-to-use Python library. Note that the female header and display pins require soldering. The kit includes a Four Letter pHAT PCB, two displays (four 14-segment displays in total), and a 2x20 0.1' female GPIO header. Some light soldering is needed to attach the header and displays, or you can solder the pHAT directly onto the Pi. Remember, the Raspberry Pi Zero is not included!

Using the Pimoroni Four Letter pHAT is easy. First, if you haven't already, you'll need to do some light soldering to attach the female header and displays to the pHAT PCB or solder the pHAT directly onto your Raspberry Pi. Make sure your Pi has a 2x20 connector as this pHAT is compatible with Pi 3, 2, B+, A+, Zero, and Zero W. Once it's all set up, you can use the provided easy-to-use Python library to start displaying text, numbers, or other characters on the four 14-segment displays. You can use it as a readout for your projects, showing things like temperatures or times. If you have other Pimoroni boards like Enviro pHAT or Explorer pHAT, you can pair them with this pHAT to display their sensor values. As for maintenance, keep the pHAT in a clean and dry place. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture. If you encounter any issues, refer to the Python library documentation or Pimoroni's support resources. And don't forget, the Raspberry Pi Zero is not included, so you'll need to use your own if you want to run the pHAT.
