Using the Pimoroni Fan SHIM for your Raspberry Pi is a breeze. First, gently slide the Fan SHIM onto your Pi's pins using the friction-fit header - no soldering needed. If you plan to use HATs or pHATs, install a booster header first. You can control the fan through software. Set it to turn on automatically when the CPU reaches a specific temperature. The RGB LED is a handy way to check the fan status, CPU load, or temperature. The tactile switch can be programmed as you like, for example, to turn the fan on and off or switch between temperature - triggered and manual modes. When it comes to maintenance, keep the fan clean from dust. When mounting or removing the Fan SHIM, be careful not to push on the fan itself, as it can break. Also, remember that this product is not compatible with heatsinks.
