The Raspberry Pi Foundation's first 'official' Pi Zero case is here, sporting Raspberry Pi's sleek pink and white color scheme. While we've had our own classic Pi Zero case for a while, the Pi Foundation has done an amazing job with this well - designed case to celebrate the release of the Pi Zero W. This is exactly what we'd expect from the creators of the Raspberry Pi.
The case consists of four parts: a pink base and three different white lids. You can easily snap on the lids based on how you use your Pi Zero. If you want to use the GPIO pins of your Pi Zero, there's a lid with a cut - out above the pins for more flexibility. If you don't like seeing the Pi inside, there's a white lid that fills the gap nicely. And there's a really cool lid with a small circular hole in the center, perfect for attaching a Raspberry Pi Camera Board.
The smart design and customizability of this case make it a great addition to the Pi case collection. As a bonus, it comes with a 1.5 - foot mini camera cable. This is a compact alternative to the standard longer cable, ideal for adding a Pi Camera to your Zero W or v1.3.
This product includes the case base, three lids, a mini camera cable, and rubber bumper feet. It doesn't come with a Raspberry Pi or other components. It's designed for the Pi Zero W but also works with Pi Zero v1.3. We also offer the Pi Foundation's official cases for the Pi 3, B+ and Pi 2.
Using this Raspberry Pi Zero case is a breeze. First, place your Pi Zero on the pink base. Then, choose the lid that suits your needs. If you're using the GPIO pins, snap on the lid with the cut - out. If you want to cover the Pi completely, use the solid white lid. And if you're adding a camera, the lid with the circular hole is your go - to. The included 1.5 - foot mini camera cable can be easily connected to your Pi for camera functionality.
When handling the case, be gentle while snapping on the lids to avoid any breakage. Also, make sure your Pi Zero is properly seated on the base before closing it up.
For maintenance, simply use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the case clean. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials as they can damage the case's finish. This case is designed to work well with Pi Zero W and Pi Zero v1.3, but don't try to force it onto other models as it may not fit properly.
