Why settle for ordinary RGB LEDs when you can have the brilliance of RGB+White LEDs? These NeoPixel rings feature 4 LEDs (red, green, blue, and white) for amazing lighting effects. They'll add a touch of magic to your projects!

This is the 24 - LED RGBW NeoPixel Ring in Cool White. We have a wide variety of other NeoPixel rings in our store for you to explore!

24 super - bright smart LED NeoPixels are arranged in a circle with an outer diameter of 2.58' (65.5mm). These rings are chainable - simply connect the output pin of one to the input pin of another. You can control multiple rings with just one microcontroller pin! Each LED is individually addressable thanks to the built - in driver chip. With a ~18mA constant current drive, the color remains consistent even with voltage variations, and no external choke resistors are needed, making the design sleek. Power it with 5VDC and you're good to go.

The NeoPixel is unique, with one half being the familiar RGB and the other half a white LED with a yellow phosphor. When unlit, it looks like an egg yolk. When lit, it's incredibly bright! You can control it with 8 - bit PWM per channel (32 - bit color overall), perfect for adding colorful and white dots to your project.

NeoPixel LEDs use an 800 KHz protocol, so specific timing is required. Their PWM rate is ~400 Hz, which works well but is noticeable if the LED is moving. In contrast, DotStars have a 20 KHz PWM rate for smoother blending. We recommend DotStars if possible.

NeoPixels are 5050 - sized LEDs with an embedded microcontroller inside. You can precisely set the brightness and color of each R/G/B/W with 8 - bit PWM (32 - bit color per pixel). They're controlled by shift - registers and only need 1 digital output pin for data transmission. Once you set the color, the built - in PWM in each LED - chip will keep the LEDs lit.

We have a tutorial on wiring, power usage calculations, and example code for NeoPixel. Check it out! Note that you'll need a NeoPixel library with RGBW support, which isn't always available. Using a plain 'RGB' library may give strange results. Our Adafruit NeoPixel library supports RGBW, but be aware if using other libraries.

Our detailed NeoPixel Uberguide has all you need to use NeoPixels of any shape and size, including ready - to - go library and example code for various Arduino models.

Comes as a single ring with 24 individually addressable RGBW LEDs, already assembled and tested.

Using the NeoPixel Ring is a breeze. First, power it with 5VDC. You can connect multiple rings together by linking the output pin of one to the input pin of another. Use just one microcontroller pin to control them all. When setting up the colors, remember you need a NeoPixel library with RGBW support. Our Adafruit NeoPixel library works great, but if you use a different one, it might need some adjustment. When it comes to maintenance, keep it away from excessive heat and moisture. Also, since the LEDs are quite bright, avoid looking directly at them for a long time. Enjoy adding these colorful and bright lights to your projects!
