Product Details

Hey there! We've got these awesome 5mm through-hole NeoPixels. If you're a fan of NeoPixel strips, you're going to love these clear 5mm through-hole ones. They bring all the magic of single-pin control for hundreds of LEDs in a breadboard-friendly form. Each LED looks like a shorter classic 5mm RGB through-hole LED with 4 legs. But here's the cool part: there's a tiny chip inside that uses high-speed PWM to control 24-bit color. Power them with 5V and chain them together by connecting the Data-Out pin of one to the Data-In of the previous in the chain. If you're using an Arduino, our well-written Neopixel library for Arduino can control these LEDs. They also work great with our Trinkets. Note that they're in 'RGB' format, not the 'GRB' you're used to in 5050-sized LEDs. Check the NeoPixel example code to swap colors automatically. These LEDs look great, are fast and responsive, and have a short clear body for a sparkling look.

Using these NeoPixel Clear 5mm Through-Hole LEDs is easy. First, power them with 5V. To connect them, chain them together by linking the Data-Out pin of one LED to the Data-In of the previous one. If you're using an Arduino, you can control them with our Neopixel library for Arduino. They also work well with Trinkets. Just remember, these LEDs are in 'RGB' format. Check the example code to change the colors automatically. As for maintenance, keep them away from extreme heat and moisture. Don't apply too much force to the pins as they can break. With proper care, these LEDs will keep shining bright for your projects.
