The new MiniPOV 3.0 Kit is designed for serial ports, making it accessible to a wider audience. With a built - in programmer, there's no need for a separate microcontroller programmer. This version is compatible with PCs (Linux/Unix or Windows) and Macs (running MacOS X with a USB/serial converter). It can work with USB serial port converters on MacOSX, Windows, and Linux, but note that it's only guaranteed to work with the USB/Serial adapter in our shop and other PL2303 and FTDI - based adapters. If you're using a MacOS X and a 'Prolific PL2303' chipset USB converter, download and install the PL2303 OSX driver from the provided link instead of the one on the CD.
