Product Details

The Magpie board is an excellent solution for those who need an Arduino Uno-compatible board and want to monitor the output pins easily. Each digital and analogue pin has an LED connected. This allows you to visually debug projects without using the Serial Monitor in the Arduino IDE. We've utilized tiny MOSFETs. When there's voltage on the matching I/O pin, current flows through the LED, showing the pin status quickly. It saves you time, money, and effort. All pins are clearly labeled, and the board's corners are rounded for a smooth finish. The Magpie fully complies with the Arduino R2 standard. It's Uno shield compatible, uses the ATmega16U2 for the USB interface, and has ICSP pins for the main and USB microcontrollers. When installing, just use the Arduino Uno USB driver in the IDE's 'drivers' folder. Arduino is an open - source physical computing platform. It has a simple I/O board and a development environment that uses the Processing/Wiring language. You can use Arduino to create stand - alone interactive objects or connect it to your computer software like Flash, Processing, and MaxMSP. The open - source IDE can be downloaded for free on Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux. We've used 2N7002 on every I/O pin connected to the shield connectors, including A0 - A5 where the MOSFETs are at the bottom of the PCB. An optional USB A to mini - B cable is required. Features: - LEDs on each digital and analogue I/O pin activated by MOSFET on each pin - Input voltage between 6 to 12 V DC - ATmega328P - PU microcontroller with Arduino bootloader - 32 k flash memory - 14 digital I/O pins (6 with PWM) - 6 analogue inputs - Fully Arduino Uno R2 - compatible - Schematic & Open Source Design Files

Using the Magpie board is easy. First, make sure you have the optional USB A to mini - B cable if you need to connect it to your computer. When installing, go to the 'drivers' folder in the Arduino IDE and use the Arduino Uno USB driver. Once it's set up, you can start your projects. The great thing about this board is that you can visually check the status of each digital and analogue pin through the LEDs. If you're having trouble with a project, you don't have to use the Serial Monitor in the Arduino IDE. Just look at the LEDs to see what's going on. For power, make sure to use a DC input voltage between 6 to 12 volts. This will keep the board working properly. When it comes to maintenance, keep the board in a dry and clean place. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity. If you need to clean it, use a soft, dry cloth. And since it's open - source, you can access the schematic and design files to make any customizations or repairs you need.
