Product Details

For building your own custom keyboard, a Kailh Blue Linear mechanical key switch is truly luxurious! These switches offer smooth actuation and are compatible with Cherry MX. They're perfect when you desire a clicky tactile keystroke that gives a snappy feel and an audible click when pressed. Here are the details: Type - Clicky tactile; Operating force - 50 gf (+/-10 gf); Tactile force - 60 gf (+/-10 gf); Pretravel - 1.8 mm (+/- 0.3 mm); Pressure point - 1.7 mm; Total travel - 3.6 mm (+/- 0.3 mm); Reset point - 1.8 mm. It comes as a single key switch, no keycaps or extras. Note that this is not a BOX stem switch. If you need multiple switches, our 10 - pack option is more cost - effective. You can use these switches with our NeoKey boards like the Socket Breakout and the FeatherWing. They also work well with mechanical key sockets to avoid soldering. We also have MX - compatible keycaps that fit right on.

Using this Kailh clicky blue mechanical key switch is easy. First, if you're using it with our NeoKey boards such as the Socket Breakout or FeatherWing, just place the switch in the appropriate spot. If you want to avoid soldering, use mechanical key sockets. Simply insert the switch into the socket. And if you have our MX - compatible keycaps, just snap them onto the switch. Here are some things to keep in mind. This is a single key switch, so if you're making a full keyboard, you'll need more. It's not a BOX stem switch. Also, our 10 - pack is a better deal if you need multiple switches. For maintenance, keep the switch clean. You can use a can of compressed air to blow away any dust or debris. That way, your switch will keep working smoothly and giving you that great clicky feel for a long time.
